Decisions are free; consequences are not.

Decisions are free; consequences are not.

Do you know how many decisions the average person makes a day?

35,000.

You may think that sounds outrageous.

Or it may sound grossly understated.

But how many of the 35,000 decisions were truly deliberate?

Every decision we make may appear to have no immediate cost.

—it's easy to choose a path, hit send, or say yes.

But the real price emerges through the consequences.

Every decision, big or small, shapes our reality as leaders.

While the decision itself might be free, the consequences can be far-reaching.

Yesterday, I discussed the concept of "Snake Rules" in leadership.

Rule 3 is that all opportunities initially look like snakes.

Not every decision will lead to success; some will teach us through failure.

This is a crucial aspect of leadership:

recognizing that failure is not just a possibility, but a necessary step toward growth and better decision-making.

Living with the results of your choice is where the true cost lies.

Make your choices count.
